Famous Church in the fall at Stowe Vermont

My good friend Ken, tipped me off to a huge halo around the moon tonight, Jan. 25, and I shot a time exposure and captured it fairly well. If you will place your cursor on the picture and select the original tab in the pop-up window on the right you will see it in it's original size. Slide the moon to the center of the picture and just to the right of the moon you will see the Seven Sisters, or The Little Dipper, which it is sometimes called.

I love these old trucks with the last company's logo still showing on the door of the trucks. Often you can see where they have been in service for more than one company.

This is a 1941 Studebaker truck and the picture was featured in the September issue of Shutterbug Magazine on the Talking Picture page back in 2008. The caption was, "I Have Seen Better Days". He has lost both eyes, or I mean headlights. The wires were still there and hanging out of the sockets.

This is a 1949 Buick left on the side of the road near Monument Valley in Utah.

Sniff, sniff. Not a great look when they are this close but we were OK. I had Jeff Slaughter in front of me.

My dream shot and after several hours of waiting, both for me and the bear, I got the shot I went for. This is a sow bear and was said to be the best fisherman on the falls, according to the rangers. If one came near enough, she got it.

Dickcissels love sunflowers, They are in every field we encountered. Not just your most beautiful bird, but they sing a great song.

This is a 12 shot sequence picture of Heisman Trophy Winner, RG III, Robert Griffin III passing to Kendall Wright #1 at the Baylor-Missouri game. You can see the track the ball follows as it travels from the quarterback to the receiver and the final catch. My camera fires 10 bursts per second so you can see the length of time the ball was in the air. Click on the picture for a larger view.
