a White Phase Reddish Egret up close. Looks like an angel.

This is an American Oyster Catcher and he has just cracked open and oyster just under the water and is bringing out his catch of the day. He never raised the shell above the water but he certainly was working it over very hard.

Be Careful. This is a 10 foot long alligator and his catch of the day was a wild hog that stopped over very early in the morning to get a drink as they herd passed by and he didn't make it any further than here. This old boy is having some bacon today. Brazos Bend SP is certainly no place to go wading in the shallows. Stay out on the bank.

White Phase, Reddish Egret with normal colored mate. Only 1% of all these birds are found in the white phase. Very rare.

This is a male Bull Frog bellowing for a mate with the vibrations radiating out from his body.
