  • Indian petroglyphs on Canyon de Chelly walls. This is a man catching a big horned sheep from behind. Not sure what he was going to do with it after he caught it. Our Zuni guide told us, but then again he told us so many stories I can't remember all the details.

  • In spite of a few thin clouds, I got an fairly good shot of Monument Valley in the middle of the night with all the stars in the sky and some lights from some far away towns lighting up the night time horizon. Those lights were not visible to us until I shot the time exposures. It was an interesting sight.

  • At the Monte Vista NWR we found some white faced Ibis and I caught them in flight. Their coloring is truly spectacular. Each feather has it's own iridescence that is one of the most impressive of all birds. There is another type of Ibis called the Glossy Ibis because of the iridescence and they don't have the white face outline like these did. The feathers are about the same coloring in both types.

  • This young man from Germany was doing some jumps on a pedestal rock at the edge of Dead Horse Point for his brother to catch with his camera and while the brother was reviewing his shots I caught the guys attention and he did a couple for me. After I showed him mine he was pretty excited since his brother was using a cell phone. I've sent it to him and he was pleased.

  • Here are the two pedestals the brothers were standing on. Of course the jumper was one the far one at the edge.
