  • Comet Panstarr from Waco, Texas. It was so low in the sky that we had lots of atmosphere to deal with and the comet was not visible with the naked eye. We were able to find it with binoculars and then see it thru the camera lens. I am hoping for better shots as it appears higher in the sky.

  • My good friend Ken, tipped me off to a huge halo around the moon tonight, Jan. 25, and I shot a time exposure and captured it fairly well. If you will place your cursor on the picture and select the original tab in the pop-up window on the right you will see it in it's original size. Slide the moon to the center of the picture and just to the right of the moon you will see the Seven Sisters, or The Little Dipper, which it is sometimes called.
