Brazos Bend - Port Aransas 2013 - DrSpencerMoorePhotography

Now talk about rare. Here is the White Phase Reddish Egret again this year down in Aransas Bay. There are still 2 there and they are both currently in the nesting cycle. I can't tell the male from the female but this one is bringing in some nesting material and making some plans for this year. According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. There are only 1500 nesting pairs on the Gulf Coast and the White Phase only occurs less the 1% on the time.
